The Portage Communiteen Read is a community read event developed in collaboration by Portage Public Schools, the Portage District Library, and Bookbug & This is a bookstore. We choose books that are cross-generational for our youth and adults to read together.

The mission of the Portage Communiteen Read is to create a shared reading experience for teens, teachers, families, and community members by inviting best selling authors to Portage. The vision of the Portage Communiteen Read is to create a strong connection between teens and the community through the shared enjoyment of reading.
How can I get involved?

Read the current book selection!
2.
Create a book club or just talk about the book with others.
3.
Attend one of the author events.
4.
Attend one of the related events at Portage District Library or Bookbug/this is a bookstore.
